A question of privilege

I often experience that talking about privilege is challenging. It’s uncomfortable and can feel like navigating a minefield of potential misunderstandings and defensiveness.

What’s even more difficult is understanding that meritocracy in organisations can be a result of privilege. Yet, understanding privilege is vital for true inclusion and equity in our workplaces.

I found this article from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) to be a good explanation of privilege and why meritocracy is not always real meritocracy.
