— Hands-on, minds-on. Stories and metaphors. 100% participation. This is
co-creation with LEGO® Serious Play®.
I design tailored workshops for a wide range of contexts, from corporate strategy and team alignment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. My approach blends behavioural science, systems thinking, and my proprietary 4C’s framework: Challenge, Construct, Connect, and Capture. The result? Sessions that deliver actionable insights, meaningful engagement, and tangible outcomes.
Whether I’m helping teams unpack what privilege means in their context or guiding organisations through future-focused visioning exercises, participants leave energised, connected, and smiling. Clients often remark on the “brave spaces” I create, environments where every voice is valued, conversations run deep, and genuine learning takes place. I, in turn, leave each session inspired by their stories and grateful for the trust they share.
Where I've used LEGO® Serious Play®
LEGO® Serious Play®
LEGO® Serious Play® is a facilitative methodology originally designed to enhance innovation and business performance (yes, by the LEGO® group itself). By using LEGO® bricks as a medium, participants express ideas and solve problems through a hands-on, minds-on learning approach. It is now used for a wide range of applications, from team building and leadership development to exploring complex issues like identity, diversity, and organisational change.
This method is particularly effective in inclusive training because it encourages equal participation, supports brain and thought diversity, and fosters an understanding of different perspectives within a safe, familiar and creative environment.
Key features
- Hands-on engagement. Participants use LEGO® bricks to build symbolic representations of their ideas and views, which helps to externalize and communicate complex thoughts.
- Equal participation. The method levels the playing field by ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard. Each participant builds their own model in response to facilitator questions, which are then shared with the group.
- Visual storytelling. The use of tangible LEGO® models aids in visualizing abstract concepts, such as equity and inclusion, making them easier to discuss and understand.
- Reflection and dialogue. The process facilitates deep reflection and dialogue, key components for addressing sensitive issues like diversity and inclusion effectively.
Benefits
- Empathy and understanding. Builds deeper understanding among team members by physically manifesting thoughts and emotions into shared models.
- Improved communication. Encourages open communication and active listening, which are critical for inclusive environments.
- Creative problem solving. Stimulates creative thinking about how to make organizational cultures more inclusive.
- Actionable outcomes. Generates specific, actionable steps that participants can take to enhance inclusivity in their teams and organization as a whole.
