Good Comms | Inclusive leadership & communication

"If the intention is clear, the mechanism will appear."

— Brian Klemmer

Create understanding, build bridges, break barriers.

At Good Comms, we believe that communication is a powerful force for building a better world. With power comes responsibility, and so we wield it as a force for good: for a more representative, less polarised and fairer world.

Our vision

A world where communication is used responsibly, ethically, inclusively, shaping more inclusive workplaces, braver cultures and fairer systems.

Our mission

Use communication in a way that it creates a sense of belonging, bridges differences, and contributes to a better world.

The Good Comms manifesto

Communication shapes what people believe, how decisions are made, and whether change lasts, or doesn’t.

At Good Comms, that’s not where we finish. It’s where we start.

Because people can’t contribute if they don’t feel that they belong. Cultures don’t heal without honest conversation. Fair systems do not create themselves.

So here is what we stand for.

Belonging

Belonging is the beginning of everything.

People who feel seen at work show up differently everywhere else.
They do their best work when they feel safe, seen, heard and valued.
Not managed into silence.
Not drowned in noise.

We design communication that makes it possible for teams to speak honestly,
leaders to listen deeply,
and organisations to build trust one conversation at a time.

Because when people feel that they belong, trust is high and change-readiness is strong.

Belonging, therefore, is not a perk.
It is the backbone of resilient organisations.

Bridging

Difference, bridged, becomes strength.

Political divides, generational tensions, cultural misunderstandings all show up in teams, in meetings, in how people do or don’t talk to each other.

We believe in communication that creates space for real dialogue. That listens before it speaks. That makes room for the voices that are usually missing from the conversation.

From depolarising difficult conversations to co-creating strategy across hierarchy, we build the conditions where people across difference can actually hear each other. And build something better together.

Division is a design problem, and communication is part of the solution.

Better world

Fairness is systems work.

Fairness is only possible when it’s built into the structure, not added afterwards. Good communication makes decisions transparent, power visible, and participation real.

We believe in communication that holds complexity with clarity, engages communities with respect, and builds the kind of world we actually want to live in.

We shape communication that moves beyond announcement and into ownership. Beyond messaging and into momentum. Beyond resistance and into shared purpose.

Positive change is co-created, not imposed. And a better world is created in the way we communicate.

If communication is power, we have the responsibility
to use it for good.

The way we work

Rooted in behavioral science, neuroscience, and evidence-based practices, our expertise lies in inclusive leadership & communication, belonging-focused employee experience and holistic social impact communication.

We use proprietary frameworks to turn abstract ideas into practical, measurable results.

For ethical AI –

  • HEAT (Humanity, Ethics, Accountability, Transparency) for those who are committed to use AI responsibly

We can’t go around measuring our goodness by what we don’t do… and who we exclude. We’ve got to measure goodness by what we embrace, what we create and who we include.

“I may be small but I’m doing the best I can.”

– The Hummingbird

Why the Hummingbird?

The Good Comms logo is inspired by Dr. Wangari Maathai’s “Story of the Hummingbird.” While we could tell you the story ourselves, watching the video that comes with this text will be far more captivating.

In essence, the hummingbird represents resilience and purpose, no matter the size of the challenge. This tiny bird inspires us to focus on doing our part, however small, to create meaningful change.

Hummingbirds are also extraordinary pollinators, connecting ecosystems and fostering growth. We see our consulting work in much the same way: learning from each other, passing on the good things and building from them to create more good in the world.

Dr. Wangari Maathai became the first African woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004.

It was great to be back at work and see that I did not have to pick up the same projects that were already on the table before I left for my maternity break. Chared did a good job managing the projects and leaving a very detailed handover document. I could slowly get used to working again. It was like starting anew. I am impressed by Chared's quality of work.
