The skies were blue and the wind was calm. We were blessed with good weather. It was like the harbor of Rotterdam was trying to show off its picturesque qualities. On that day. A little over an hour and the sun began to set. Suddenly, the city of Rotterdam turned to gold.

Philippine cargo ship MV Aztec Maiden ran ashore the coast of Wijk aan Zee in The Netherlands around 4:45 in the morning of January 20, 2011. 21 crew members aboard the ship are all Filipinos. Again, social media has done its fair share in updating the public.

Filipinos and foreigners alike were treated to the heavenly voices of the Loboc Children’s Choir in The Netherlands for three nights in a row. They performed in Hoofddorp on Wednesday evening, The Hague on Thursday and Venlo on Friday. The 22-song repertoire is part of a series of fund-raising concerts which will culminate in Spain where they are to take part in the Certamen Coral de Tolosa competition from October 29 to November 1.
